The Black Matrix discs are made to fit both the 8.5 litre pots and the 15 litre pots & square trays.
Their purpose is to prevent growing media from falling through into the tray containing the aqua valve, and to help prevent stray roots from coming through.
Black matrix discs are sold individually.
